PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a displacement type fluid machine of high efficiency reduc ing gas leakage from a seal part in a compression stroke. SOLUTION: In a displacement type fluid machine with a displacer 5 and a cylinder 4 arranged between end plates, an outline curve of a cylinder internal wall surface or a displacer external wall surface is so formed that a radial clearanceδof a seal part formed by the cylinder internal wall surface and displacer external wall surface to seal gas in a compression stroke satisfies dδ/dκ<=0 (δ: shortest distance between the cylinder internal wall surface and displacer external wall surface andκ: the average curvature of the curvature of a cylinder outline and the curvature of a displacer outline in the seal part) at a shaft optional rotation angle.
