PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mentally guide passengers to the center of a tread and prevent a caught accident ink a skirt guard or the like from occurring, by providing a plurality of display bodies extending from the rear parts to the front centers of the treads on the surface of the treads of a passenger conveyer having a plurality of treads. SOLUTION: A plurality of treads 1 are endlessly interconnected through a chain and rotated. The surfaces of these treads 1 are provided with cleats comprising a recessed part and a projecting part. An inner deck 4 and a handrail 5 are provided over skirt guards 3 provided right and left of the tread 1. A display body 6 extending from the rear part 1a to the front center 1b of the tread 1 is structured in the recessed part by assembling a plurality of engagement bodies engaged through a magnet. A plurality of (here, 5) display bodies 6 are formed. The display bodies 6 are provided in the recessed parts of the cleats of the tread 1, so that they do not separate by shoes or is not made dirty.
