PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeding device and an image processing device having it, capable of reliably separating and feeding loaded sheets without enlarging a device and capable of detecting the sheet loading amount. SOLUTION: A sheet feeding device for separating and feeding loaded and housed sheets is provided with a feeding roller 16 capable of being rotatably driven in order to feed loaded sheets S, a separating means for separating the sheets S to be fed by the feeding roller 16 by an inclined surface part 14a, a support arm 18 for displacing the feeding roller 16 according to a change of the amount of the loaded sheets and supporting the feeding roller so that it may be brought into contact with the sheets S, and a rotation sensor 20 for detecting the loaded sheet amount by detecting the displaced position of the feeding roller 16.
