PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain versatility by improving the deodorization capability of natural radioactive ores which withstand long-term use. SOLUTION: This deodorant is prepared by mixing and depositing the respective fine powders of natural radioactive ores, such as radium oxide, thorium oxide and thorium and a specified amount of tourmaline into carriers 3 consisting of porous materials, such as urethane, rayon and rubber. As a result, not only the deodorization function is doubled but the freshness of perishables, etc., may be maintained by the minus ions generated by the tourmaline.
