PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove the limitation on a cutting-apart position, the detecting position after a cutting-apart when a plurality of products are produced by cutting apart a tubular, a rod-like and a band-like matters as a stock. Even when this workpiece is cut off at any position, one and the same bar code 2 emerges. By peripherally moving the workpiece relatively to a sensor, the bar code 2 of one cycle can be detected at any axial position. As long as the length, within which the bar code of one cycle or more axially emerges, is ensured, the bar code can be read by relatively moving the sensor and the workpiece in the axial direction. |
