PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal-transfer method wherein an excellent image preserving property (dark decoloration, light decoloration and image bleeding are small.), and a high picture quality (i.e., L* of the whiteness (especially on the edge) of the image receiving sheet is high.) are made compatible. SOLUTION: The ink layer of an ink sheet having at least one layer of the ink layer containing a thermally diffusable dye precursor on a supporting body, and the image receiving layer of an image receiving sheet having at least one layer of the image receiving layer containing a dye fixing body which reacts with the dye precursor and forms a dye on a separate supporting body, are superposed in such a manner that the ink layer and the image receiving layer may be confronted with each other. Then, a heating is performed by a heating means along an image, and the dye precursor is transferred onto the image receiving layer. Then, the image receiving layer surface is re-heated to form an image in this heat-transfer method. In such a thermal-transfer method, the image receiving sheet contains a fluorescent brightener. |
