PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a swing type bird damage preventing tool readily mountable on an axial body such as electric wire, etc. SOLUTION: This tool is equipped with two or more engaging parts 20 to be engaged with an axial body, connecting parts 30 which are integrally formed with these engaging parts 20 and connected to the engaging parts 20 and arm parts 40 which are projected outward from the connecting lines of the engaging parts 20 and integrally formed with the engaging parts 20. A magnet 50 is fixed in the vicinity of the tip of each arm part 40. The engaging parts 20 are each equipped with a retaining part 21 to be held on the axial body and opening and closing parts 22 connected to the side of the arm part 40 of the retaining part 21. The opening and closing parts 22 are each provided with an opening and closing door 23 and a hinge 24. The hinges 24 are made to open the opening and closing parts 22 when the opening and closing doors 23 are bent to the side of the retaining part 21 from the closed state of the opening and closing parts 22 by the opening and closing doors 23.
