PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a detergent liquid composition which exhibits a good effect on removing a curable resin, especially an epoxy resin, from an object to be cleaned and has an excellent stability and little toxicity by incorporating at least a specified amount of an aromatic compound having a specified number of carbon atoms into the same and imparting specified distillation characteristics to the same. SOLUTION: This composition contains at least 50 wt.% 6-18C aromatic compound and has such distillation characteristics that the 5% distillation temperature is 150 deg.C or higher; the 95% distillation temperature is 315 deg.C or lower; and the difference between 5% distillation temperature and 95% distillation temperature is 50 deg.C or lower. The aromatic compound is an optionally alkylated monocyclic or polycyclic aromatic compound (e.g. isopropylbenzene or n- propylbenzene) or the like, and a petroleum fraction containing these compounds can be used. This composition can be favorably used in cleaning industrial apparatuses, e.g. a storage tank, a mixing vessel, or a casting machine, for handling an uncured epoxy resin or an uncured epoxy resin raw material composition.
