PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily adjust the cutting position for labels and reduce papers and a recording agent used for the position adjustment. SOLUTION: When labels are recorded on a continuous recording medium and then die-cut to complete the manufacturing of labels in a label manufacturing method, an exclusive OR of a label data and 1 mm matrix pattern are computed to form a cutting position adjustment pattern for checking quantitatively the position deviation between the cutting position 1100 and a recording section 1101 and recorded prior to the recording of the labels, and also the cutting position adjustment pattern is die-cut. Then the die-cut and recording operations are stopped for a while, and after the die-cut position is adjusted by a user, the die-cut and recording operations are restarted and the labels are die-cut on the adjusted position to complete the manufacture of labels.
