PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify an equipment and process stages for treatment of deteriorated UF6 and to prevent fine-powdery calcium fluoride from being formed. SOLUTION: This equipment is provided with: a first fluidized bed reactor 11 for allowing steam to act on deteriorated UF6 to form UO2F2 and hydrogen fluoride; a second fluidized bed reactor 12 for allowing steam to act on the formed UO2F2 to form U3O8, hydrogen fluoride and oxygen; a gas cooler 16 for cooling the hydrogen fluoride formed in the first and second fluidized reactors 11 and 12 to 150-300 deg.C; and a fluorine fixation device(s) 13 for bringing the cooled hydrogen fluoride into contact with calcium carbonate 13a to form calcium fluoride. This process comprises: a dry vapor phase reaction stage for allowing steam to act on deteriorated UF6 at 230-280 deg.C to form UO2F2 and hydrogen fluoride and further allowing steam to act on the formed UO2F2 at 600-700 deg.C to form U3O8, hydrogen fluoride and oxygen; and a fluorine fixation stage for bringing the hydrogen fluoride formed in the dry vapor phase reaction stage into contact with granular calcium carbonate 13a at 150-300 deg.C to form granular calcium fluoride.
