PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knitting method intended for diminishing the friction acting, when a new loop is to be pulled into, on the new loop or old loop to put the stitch texture of a knitted fabric in order and improve the feel thereof. SOLUTION: This knitting method comprises the following practice: of front and rear knitting needles on a needle bed, when a knitting yarn is to be pulled into by one of the needles, the other needle is placed at a position projected off the position of its origin; thereby the knitting yarn 12 is pulled into in a condition with the latter needle projected, resulting in suppressing the tension of a new loop 16 at a low level.
