PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine room in which a fire can be extinguished rapidly without using human power and other power even when the fire is generated in the engine room. SOLUTION: A solid fire extinguishing agent 10 is installed directly on the ceiling section of the engine room 7 for a bulldozer, a hydraulic backhoe and a crane. Alternatively, a partition plate is mounted and the engine room is filled with the solid or powder fire extinguishing agent 10b, or the solid fire extinguishing agent 10 is set up directly on an engine hood 9 fitted to the upper section of the engine room 7 or the partition plate is attached and the engine room is filled with the solid or powder fire extinguishing agent 10.
