PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform proper control of a multicylinder internal combustion engine, to improve the efficiency of the multicylinder internal combustion engine, and to realize an increased life. SOLUTION: A combustion control system CCS for an internal combustion engine is applicable for a multicylinder internal combustion engine D to rotationally drive a crank shaft S by burning fuel in a plurality of cylinders C1-C4, and an ignition timing or a fuel injection timing of fuel in each of the cylinders C1-C4 is controlled. In this case, this system comprises a rotation component measuring device 1 to measure the twist angleθof the crank shaft S; and a control device 30 to set the ignition timing or the fuel injection timing of each of the cylinders C1-C4.
