PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll compressor allowing a turning scroll to be pressed to a fixed scroll with uniform optimum force regardless of a high pressure or low pressure of a motor chamber in the case of the compressor with the low-high pressure selectable motor chamber. SOLUTION: The back face of an end plate of a turning scroll is partitioned into an annular outer back pressure chamber and inner back pressure chamber. A first passage 17b is provided to communicate the outer back pressure chamber with an intermediate part of a compression chamber to communicate the outer back pressure chamber with an intake chamber, and a second passage 17c is provided to orthogonally communicate the first passage 17b and a motor chamber. A movable selector plate 18 for selecting either a large chamber hole 18a or a small diameter hole 18b is provided in the second passage 17c, and one end of the selector plate 18 is provided with a first elastic member 19a for moving the selector plate 18 by resilience. A valve 20 for opening/closing the large diameter hole 18a or small diameter hole 18b, and a second elastic member 19b for moving the valve 20 by reislience, are provided in the first passage 17b.
