PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a deviation of whiteness and to eliminate a difference in an appearance by using photographic paper having predetermined whiteness or more, setting so that a color difference of whites between an image forming area and a non-image forming area of the paper in which an image protective layer is transferred may not exceed a predetermined numeric value. SOLUTION: An image protective film has a structure in which a heat transferable image protective layer 1 is laminated on a base material film 2 having a back coating layer 3 on its rear surface. The layer 1 is released from the film 2 and transferred to photographic paper by thermal transferring. In the case of thermally transferring the protective layer of the film to an image forming area of the paper, the protective layer is transferred so that a color difference of whites in an L*a*b* cholorimetric system between the image forming area and a non-image forming area of the paper in which the protective layer is transferred becomes 2 or less. A whiteness regulator, an ultraviolet absorbent or the like is blended with the layer 1 as needed. Thus, a deviation of the whiteness is suppressed, and a difference in an appearance can be eliminated. |
