PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drop a premium reliably by detecting the premium at the time of dropping the premium in a premium payoff device. SOLUTION: This premium payoff device is provided with a rotating plate 30 formed in such a way as to be rotated by a motor, a plurality of hooks 40 provided on the lower surface of the rotating plate 30 to fasten a premium 70, and a releasing means 22 to release a specific hook 40 at the time when the rotating plate 30 reaches a predetermined position to release the fastening of the premium 70. The premium payoff device comprises both a premium detecting part 50 located in the vicinity of the operating position of the releasing means 22 and capable of coming into contact with the premium 70 and a control means to rotate the rotating plate 30 by a predetermined angle by operating the motor for a predetermined time in a predetermined case and to further operate the motor for a predetermined time in the case that the premium detecting part 50 does not come into contact with the premium 70 during the rotation.
