ANTI-FIBROSIS AGENT CONTAINING LECITHIN-BONDED SUPEROXIDEDISMUTASE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject anti-fibrosis agent exhibiting synergistic fibrosis inhibiting effect by concomitant administration of a specific lecithin-bonded superoxide dismutase (PC-SOD) with a steroid-based medicine. SOLUTION: This anti-fibrosis agent contains PC-SOD of the formula: SOD'(Q- B)m [SOD' is a residue of superoxide dismutase; Q is a chemical cross-link, e.g. C(O)(CH2)nC(O) or the like; B is a residue of lysolecithin having hydroxyl group at 2 position of glycerol and removed with the hydrogen atom of the above hydroxyl group; (m) is an average number of bonded lysolecithin with 1 molecule of superoxide dismutase and is >=1], and is administered concomitantly with a steroid-based medicine (e.g.; an anti-inflammatory steroid, etc., such as predonisolone). The clinical dosages of the PC-SOD and the steroid-based medicine are exemplified as 1-100 mg and 10-100 mg respectively.
