PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting printer, facilitated in the setting of a matter to be printed and facilitated in the transfer of the matter to be printed upon cutting and before or after cutting the same. SOLUTION: A cutting printer is equipped with a transfer means 45 for transferring a placement unit 44 for placement a matter to be printed 11, printing heads 14a-14d for printing the matter to be printed 11 and a cutter 15 for cutting the printed matter to be printed 11 into a predetermined shape while the printer is constituted so that the matter to be printed 11 is transferred by the transfer means 45 at least upon being cut while being retained on the placement unit 44 by static electricity generated in the placement unit 44.
