PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly open a sealed module for inspection or the like and facilitate reproduction by machining the periphery of a housing of a sealed electronic control module to expose a sealed bead, and providing a sealed bead to be broken in the periphery of the circumference of the module. SOLUTION: A sealed electronic control module 10, which is used with an electronically controlled engine, is opened and after inspection, again sealed. In opening the module 10, a housing 11 having an upper plate 16A and lower plate 16B is removed. The housing 11 has a pair of side fitting boss 13 and an upper fitting boss 12, and the housing is fixed to the inside of an engine room by the bosses 12, 13. The housing 11 is machined to remove an outer rim 30 and the bosses 12, 13, and the side edge of the peripheral edge of a digitizer (base plate) and a sealing bead 40 disposed between the plates 16A, 16B and the housing 11 are exposed. |
