PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ashtray device that has a simple construction and excellent extinguishing performance and durability. SOLUTION: A couple of steel belts 10, 11 opposing to each other are set to the lower part of the position at which a cigarette butt falls down and rotationally driven by the detection of the cigarette but falling while the peripheral speeds of the two steel belts 10, 11 are made to differ. Vertical pulleys 12-15 supporting these steel belts 10, 11 are supported through vertical supporting shafts 12a-15a to a shaft frame 30 in which lower side supporting shafts 13a, 15a are inserted into long holes 31, 31 that are bored long vertically on the shaft frame 30, and these supporting shafts 13a, 15a are energized downward with a tensioner 16.
