PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polymerizable composition excellent in impact resistance, deformation following properties, low-temperature rapid curability, etc., by mixing a norbornene monomer with an Ru metathesis polymerization catalyst. SOLUTION: It is desirable that the Ru metathesis polymerization catalyst used is an Ru-carbene complex of the formula. In the formula, R1 and R2 are each H, a 2-20C alkenyl, a 1-20C alkyl, an aryl, a 1-20C carboxylic acid ester or salt group, a 1-20C alkoxyl, a 2-20C alkoxycarbonyl, or a 1-20C alkylthio, provided that these groups may be substituted with 1-5C alkyls, halogens, or 1-5C alkoxyls or may be substituted with phenyls substituted with 1-5C alkyls, halogens, or 1-5C alkoxyls; X1 and X2 are each any anionic ligand; L1 and L2 are each any neutral electron donor; provided that two or three groups of X1, X2, L1, and L2 may be combined with each other to form a polydentate chelating ligand. It is desirable that the norbornene monomer used is dicyclopentadiene, more desirably, one containing ethylidenenorbornene or the like.
