PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the adhesion between a surface protective layer and an under layer and obtain the surface protective layer having an enough thickness by a method wherein the permeation into the under layer is suppressed in a decorative material having the surface protective layer formed by crosslinkedly thermosetting an ionizing radiation curing resin composition. SOLUTION: In this decorative material 1, at the formation of a surface protective layer 6 made of an ionizing radiation curing resin composition on the surface of the decorative material 1, which is produced by forming a colored layer 3 and a patterned layer 4 on a base material 2, a primer layer 5 consists of a single oil-resisting resin or preferably a mixture of the oil-resisting resin and a thermosetting resin such as a polyurethane resin or the like.
