PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner having improved removing performance of harmful gas components and in which the main body is prevented from being stained and the stain stuck onto the main body is easily cleaned by water wiping or dry wiping, etc., with cloth thereby facilitating the maintenance of the cleaner. SOLUTION: Photocatalyst treatment is applied onto the surface of the main body outer wall consisting of a front grille 21, a main body front 22, a main body back 23 and a discharge port grille 25. In this way, the photocatalyst is activated when the surface applied with the photocatalyst treatment is irradiated with ultraviolet radiation, and microorganisms are sterilized and the harmful gas components are oxidized by the contact reaction with the photocatalyst, and oxidized product is adsorbed on the surface applied with the photocatalyst treatment to remove the harmful gas components and also the sticking of stain is prevented, and moreover the stain is stuck onto the releasable oxidized product to easily execute cleaning and maintenance. |
