PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the clogging of a catalyst by a treatment residue such as ash and the deterioration of deodorization efficiency by disposing a solid removing apparatus in an exhaust passage ranging from a treatment container to a catalyst body. SOLUTION: A solid removing apparatus 4 is disposed at a position before a catalyst body 3 inlet part in an exhaust passage 2, a user charges garbage into a treatment container 1, it is heat-dried by a proper means, and a gas containing water vapor is generated from the garbage. The gas, while catching a treatment residue and ash components, is passed through the passage 2, and the apparatus 4 is made to pass upward. In this way, passed gas components can be oxidized on the catalyst surface of the catalyst body 3 and are converted into odorless substances to reduce the odors of exhaust gas. Passage resistance in the catalyst body 3 inlet part can be reduced to improve a deodorization effect. |
