SOLUTION: A socket body 1 of a socket A mounts a socket part 2 detachably attached with a discharge lamp, connector part 3 connecting with an input led from a lighting control circuit for controlling the light of the discharge lamp, and a starting circuit receiver 4 for receiving the circuit components 6 constituting circuits an igniter circuit etc. to apply a high voltage pulse to start the discharge lamp.
