PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide simple and efficient method and apparatus for determining the characteristics of an ink tank. SOLUTION: This image recording apparatus comprises an ink tank holder for storing an ink tank 10, and a plurality of sensors of the ink tank holder. Each of the plurality of the sensors corresponds to one of indicator positions 30 of the ink tank 10, different with each other, for sensing whether or not the indicator is at the indicator position 30 of the ink tank corresponding thereto. |
