PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition which gives a hardened item showing a stain-proofness and friction resistance by mixing a silicon-modified vinylpolymer (A) having a hydrolyzable silyl group, a polysiloxane group and a hydroxy group in a side chain with silica and an organoaluminum compound. SOLUTION: The component A showing little coloring and excellent whether resistance is obtained by copolymerizing a hydrolyzable silyl group-containing vinyl compound (e.g., vinyltrimethoxysilane), a vinyl group-containing polysiloxane (e.g., vinyl-terminated dimethylpolysiloxane) and a hydroxy group- containing vinyl compound (e.g., 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate), each compound being used as a monomer. The weight average molecular weight of the component A is preferably 5,000 to 150,000. Silica to be used is colloidal silica preferably having an average diameter of 1 to 20μm. 1 to 90 pts.wt. of silica and 0.1 to 5 pts.wt. of an organoaluminum compound (e.g., aluminum ethylate) are mixed with 100 pts.wt. of the component A.
