PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the explosion of combustible gas by the coal powder ignited at the accidental fire of a combustor by providing an air sucking pipe having a stop valve after a hood in a dust collecting device for capturing the gas and dust ejecting from a charging port at the time of charging coal by interposing the hood and a branched duct of a coal charging car. SOLUTION: Plural charging ports 4 are installed at the upper wall of a carbonizing chamber 2 of the coal furnace 1. The coal charging car 5 is moved on the upper surface of the coal furnace 1 to and the coal is charged into the carbonizing chamber 2 from each charging port 4. The hood 6, the combustor 7, the branched duct 8 and a collecting duct 9 are mounted on the coal charging car 5 in order to capture the gas containing the dust ejecting from each charging port 4. In such a case, each air sucking pipe 20 having each stop valve 21 is connected to each branched duct 8 connected to the outlet side of the combustor 7. Here, an opening degree of each stop valve 21 is set so that the air may be sucked till the combustible gas concn. in the gas flowing in each branched duct 8 becomes below explosion limit concn.
