PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a silver clay excellent in sinterability. SOLUTION: The silver powder has a composition consisting of 20-900 ppm, in total, of one or >=2 elements among Sn, Pb, Cu, Bi, and Fe and the balance Ag with inevitable impurities. Further, the silver clay has a composition consisting of the silver powder in an amount of 50-95% by weight, 0.8 to 8% binder, 0.1 to 3% fats and fatty oils, 0.03 to 3% surfactant, and the balance water.
