PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a biocidal liquid formulation excellent in germicidal, mold killing and insecticidal effect by including an allyl alcohol as an effective ingredient. SOLUTION: This biocidal liquid formulation is prepared by including an allyl alcohol as an effective ingredient. When the allyl alcohol is used as fumigant, the effectively insecticidal dosage level preferably is 0.1-2.0 mol/m3 in building fumigation against rice weevils as objects and preferably is 600-50,000 ppm in soil fumigation against southern root-knot nematodes as objects. The biocidal liquid formulation comprising 1-95 wt.% allyl alcohol and also 1-60 wt.% methyl iodide is preferable as the synergistic effect of the allyl alcohol having both germicidal action on mold, etc., and insecticidal action with methyl iodide having both insecticidal action on insect, nematode, etc., and herbicidal activity is gained. When the liquid formulation is used for disinfection and insect killing in buildings or structures, the concentration of the effective ingredient(s) preferably is 0.05-2.0 mol/m3.
