PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of casting defects caused by re-mixture of a splash of a molten metal scattered in pouring the molten metal in a mold. SOLUTION: A manufacturing device of a roughly drawn copper or copper alloy wire comprises a mold provided with a cast wheel having a groove 1a formed on an outer circumferential surface which is rotated and a steel belt 3 to be stretched to both wall parts of the groove 1a, and nozzles 5a and 5b to blow the inert gas against the cast wheel and the steel belt 3 at least in a range where the molten metal is scattered in pouring the molten copper or copper alloy in this mold.
