Medical preparation comprising human insulin analogue
摘要
A human insulin analogue, and derivatives thereof, are characterized by the fact that amino acids number 27 (threonine) and 28 (proline) in the B chain of the molecule are interchanged as compared with the natural human insulin. The interchange results in the insulin analogue being more rapidly absorbed following subcutaneous injection and in it being possible to monitor the blood sugar level in diabetic patients more frequently and in a more patient-friendly manner. The analogue, and its derivatives, are used as rapidly acting insulin preparations for treating and preventing diabetes (type I and type II).
