PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint and jointing members for a placing joint capable of simplifying the coupling work for steel bars, of making it easier to control the number of the parts and members, and of restricting the occurrence of troubles such as a shortage of parts. SOLUTION: A first male threaded portion 3 is connected to the end portion of a first steel bar 1 by frictional pressure welding, a bur at the side of the first male threaded portion 3, which is formed outwardly in radial direction at the pressure welding portion is formed to a flat shape as a seat surface 11 almost perpendicular to the axis direction, a coupler 5 is screwed to the first male threaded portion 3, an end face 10 of the coupler 5 is bonded under pressure to the seat surface 11 of the bur 6 and, by its reaction, the first steel bar 1 and the coupler 5 are connected together. In this state, the steel bar is shipped to a precast factory and concrete is poured. Thereafter, the precast member is carried to and installed on the job site and the second male threaded portion 4 is screwed to the coupler 5 and bonded together under pressure thereby connecting together both steel bars 1, 2.
