<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply obtain the subject compound by using readily obtainable raw materials and an inexpensive reagent by a few processes by introducing an eliminable group into a specific compound, treating the compound with a cyanation agent and hydrolyzing the resultant substance. SOLUTION: (B) An eliminable group is introduced into (A) an alcohol site of an N-protecting amino-alcohol of formula I [P1 and P2 are each an amino- protecting group or one of P1 and P2 is the amino-protecting group and the other is H; R1 is a (phenyl-substituted) 1-4C alkyl or an aryl] to give (C) an eliminable group-containing intermediate product of formula II (X is an eliminable group). The product is reacted with (D) a cyanation agent to give (E) a nitrile derivative of formula III, which is hydrolyzed to give the objective compound of formula IV. A sulfonyloxy group (e.g. methanesulfonyloxy group), a halogen atom, etc., are preferable as the component B. An alkali metal cyanide (e.g. sodium cyanide) is preferable as the component D.</p> |
