PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a falling prevention device for vehicle with improved safety provided between end walls of rail vehicles connected to each other. SOLUTION: A first cable member 52 and a second cable member 53 are applied tensely between installation seats S1 and S2 being an area for preventing falling down predetermined at each one side part between opposed end walls 35a and 35b of the rail vehicles 32a and 32b connected to each other. The first cable member 52 is provided in a lower area portion of the installation seat, and the second cable member 53 is provided in an upper area portion of the installation seat. The second cable member 53 is longer than the first cable member 52. Thus, a user standing on a platform is nearly fallen down accidentally into a clearance between the end walls 35a and 35b, the body of the user can be supported aslant so that the feet of the user are positioned on the platform side and the upper half of the body is positioned on the clearance side more than the lower half so as to further increase safety.
