PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preparation method of detergent particles excellent in solubility, a fluid property and control of staining with a surfactant in a preparation method of the detergent particles compounded with a powder builder. SOLUTION: A preparation method of detergent particles is comprised of step (I): mixing base particles [component (a)] for a carrier of a surfactant and a surfactant composition [component (b)] in a ratio of 20-100 pts.wt. of the component (b) to 100 pts.wt. of the component (a), making the component (b) carry on the component (a) to obtain the particles carried with the surfactant, and step (II): to the particles carried with the surfactant obtained in the step (I), mixing 5-100 pts.wt. of a minute powder form [component (c)] to 100 pts.wt. of the particles with 0.5-6 pts.wt. of an acid precursor [component (d)] of an anionic surfactant to 100 pts.wt. of the particles to cover the surface of the particles carried with the surfactant with the component (c) and the anionic surfactant. The growing degree of the particles (average particle size of final detergent particles)/[average particle size of component (a)]} is not more than 1.5 and the bulk density is not less than 500 g/L.
