METHOD FOR EXTRACTING LICENCE PLATE FROM CAR USING NEURAL NETWORK

PURPOSE: A method for extracting a licence plate from a car using a neural network is provided to automatically extract the plate by learning, to decrease the effect of an input noise and a distortion, and to reduce the possibility that non-plate area is extracted, by simultaneously utilizing the color information on the vertical and horizontal sections, and by using the neural network in order to find the features. CONSTITUTION: A filter extracts the part of the plate from the input image using the neural network. A post-processing part deals with the image extracted by the neural network.
