摘要 |
PURPOSE: A hydrophilic filler is provided to achieve an improved heat or material transfer performance of a cooling tower by increasing direct contact area of gas and liquid. CONSTITUTION: A filler(4) where a cooling water and an air directly contact for a heat or material transfer, is characterized in that the filler has a surface which is hydrophile-treated using an ion beam or plasma. Thus, the cooling water flows widely all over the surface of the filler, improving heat or material transfer efficiency. In addition, a scale is prevented from being formed at the surface of the hydrophile-treated filler due to the improved fluidity, to thereby eliminate clogging problem. An adhesive property between the surface of the hydrophile-treated filler is enhanced, thus allowing filler packing construction to be carried out in an easy and convenient manner.
