METHOD FOR PREPARING A CUTTING INSTRUMENT OF AMORPHOUS ALLOY AND CUTTING INSTRUMENT THEREOF

PURPOSE: A method for preparing an amorphous alloy cutting instrument and a cutting instrument prepared by the method are provided, to improve the homogeneity of cut face and to reduce the load of cutting. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of melting amorphous alloy; inserting slag into the melted amorphous alloy; adding a deoxidizing agent into the melted one twice; forming mush-state melted solution; die extruding the mush-state melted solution to prepare narrow band-shaped product; cooling the band with the cooling velocity of 10¬2 K/s or more to inhibit the generation of grain; and fabricating a blade in the amorphous alloy band. The amorphous alloy comprises 40-60 wt% of Ti1-xZrx; 15-50 wt% of Cu1-ySiy; and 8-15 wt% of Be, wherein x is 0-0.15 and y is 0.01-0.05.
