ELECTROLYTE FOR LITHIUM SECONDARY CELL AND LITHIUM SECONDARY CELL USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An electrolyte for a lithium secondary cell and a lithium secondary cell using the same are provided to ensure excellent low temperature performance. CONSTITUTION: An electrolyte includes the first component solvent of a cyclic carbonate compound, the second and third component solvents of at least two chain carbonate compounds selected from a group including diethyl carbonate, methyl propyl carbonate and diethyl carbonate, and fourth component solvent of a propyl acetate. The cyclic carbonate is 20 to 60 volume percent. The second and third component solvents are 30 to 77.5 volume percent, and have an effect of lowering the melting point of the cyclic carbonate. Propyl acetate has a very low viscosity and a very low melting point, and can be added into the electrolyte to obtain a lithium secondary cell very excellent in a low temperature performance.
