PRODUCTION OF ANTICORROSIVE AQUEOUS ACRYLIC POLYMER EXTENDER AND PRODUCTION OF ANTICORROSIVE PAINT USING SAME

PURPOSE: The title polymer extender having excellent adhesion, weather resistance and water resistance, in particular excellent corrosion resistance when painted on a metal surface by using an acrylamido sulfonic acid monomer for providing self-crosslinking properties and a phosphorous-containing acrylic monomer for inhibiting corrosion and process for producing anticorrosive paint using the same are provided which are environmentally favorable. CONSTITUTION: In the process of manufacturing an aqueous acrylic polymer, 20 to 90% by weight of (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester as a main monomer, 0.1 to 5% by weight of an alkyl sulfonic acid monomer containing a vinyl sulfonic acid or amide group as a self-crosslinking monomer for improving dryness and 0.1 to 5% by weight of an acrylic monomer containing phosphorous as a monomer for improving corrosion resistance are copolymerixzed. The self-crosslinking monomer is at least one selected from (meth)acryloxyethylphosphate, bis-(meth)acryloxyethylphosphate and (meth)acryloxyethylphenyl acid phosphate.
