PURPOSE: A stick releasing device of press for forging and a slide adjusting device are provided to facilitate the adjustment of slide and facilitate the releasing work in case of stick phenomenon by changing the structure of stick releasing device. CONSTITUTION: A stick releasing device comprises; a ball screw(20) to rotate a control lever(7) minutely; a control gear(22) bonded to ball of ball screw by a pin(21); a stick release piston(24) which surrounds the ball of ball screw and the control gear, and has a hydraulic oil-feeding hole; a ball screw sheet(25) which supports ball screw and control gear; a V block(27) supporting the ball screw sheet; a bolt for release(28) moving the block in opposite direction; and a control-gear driving device. The press for forging comprises; a driving motor; a crank shaft(2) driven by the motor; a connecting rod(4) operating the slide up and down; slide(3); a control crank(5); a control lever which is installed in control crank, and adjusts slide distance, and serves for a stick release; an upper table(8) installed in slide; a control pin(9) controlling the interval of upper table; and a knock-out lever(10) which is installed in bottom of driving lever, and operates the driving pin according to a rotation of control lever.
