PURPOSE: A method for producing a metal case is provided to increase productivity with little man power, to produce different sorts of cases without changing a process line and to reduce welding troubles by a continuous ERW(Electric Resistance Weld) method. CONSTITUTION: A metal plate(1) is cut into many cut plates(2) lengthwise. Each cut plate is wound around a winding roller(3) by a pipe molder(9) in the shape of a long pipe(4). The wound cut plate becomes a long pipe(5) by a high frequency inducing method. The long pipe is cut in regular length to be a metal case(6) for a motor or an air compressor. Thus, a producing method for the metal case enhances productivity with little man power without changing a process line and remarkably reduces welding troubles.
