ATTENUATOR FOR NOISE OF VEHICLE EXHAUST GAS SYSTEM

PURPOSE: An attenuator for the noise of a vehicle exhaust gas system is provided to improve the contacting structure of a valve opened and closed by the resilience of a spring and exhaust pressure. CONSTITUTION: In case of increasing exhaust gas and pressure in proportion to the output of an engine, exhaust gas passes through a pipe line in a moment to flow into a high pressure chamber(I). The high pressure exhaust gas passes through an inducing pipe(40) in a moment of expanding exhaust pressure. Thus, a valve(50) is opened to discharge exhaust gas outside through a waiting chamber(W) and an outlet pipe(30) for attenuating noise. In case of decreasing exhaust pressure, a spring(70) closes the valve and the outer circumference of the valve is a curved surface so that the frictional noise is minimized.
