PURPOSE: A gas container connection system for gas burner is provided to connect the gas container to be readily connected to a valve assembly, while allowing an adapter to be automatically separated from the valve assembly in case where the likelihood of accident is high. CONSTITUTION: A system(100) comprises a valve assembly(40) having a gas receiving part(14) for receiving gas from a gas container, a control part(16) provided with a control lever(60) for controlling the amount of gas being supplied to the gas receiving part, and a safety valve(18); an adapter(50) with a penetrating hole(52) for penetration of a nozzle of the gas container, a coupling portion(54) arranged radially centering from the penetrating hole so as to be selectively coupled to the gas container, and a coupling member(56); and a connection unit arranged between the valve assembly and the adapter in such a manner that the connection unit moves according to the rotation of the control lever, so as to thereby selectively permit the nozzle to be communicated to the gas receiving part. The adapter is mounted to be rotatable to the valve assembly such that the nozzle penetrating the penetrating hole of the adapter is communicated to the gas receiving part.
