PURPOSE: A PDP(Plasma Display Panel) is provided to enhance yield rate and action of product by preventing fluorescent pollution around a discharge port without lowering brightness through a protective film on a rear substrate except a display area. CONSTITUTION: An address electrode is formed on a rear substrate(20) of a PDP and a dielectric film is formed thereon. The dielectric film protects the address electrode and prevents light from being transmitted the rear substrate. A discharge port is formed on the rear substrate between a display area and sealing line. To prevent cross-talk between adjacent cells, a sidewall is formed. An RGB fluorescent layer(24) is printed lengthwise from up to down. A protective film(30) is formed between the display area and sealing line of the rear substrate. The sealing line is formed for connection between the front and rear substrates. Finally, the PDP is completed by gas injection through the discharge port and sealing after connection with the front substrate. Fluorescent powder is adsorbed on the protective film of the rear substrate. |
