PURPOSE: A method and a device for removing reverberations using delay time estimation are provided to make a reverberation remover estimate delay time at predetermined intervals to adaptively set up a degree of a filter, and to input delayed far-end voice signals to the filter, so that a calculation amount of the filter can be reduced and the performance of the reverberation remover can be improved. CONSTITUTION: An operation of an adaptive filter is suspended in an initial operation mode. Delay time for echo components is estimated by using far-end voice signals and near-end voice signals. The far-end voice signals are delayed for a predetermined time by entering to a normal mode. The adaptive filter is controlled to perform convolution and coefficient update in some sections centering on the delay time. If estimation time reaches the delay time, the coefficient update of the adaptive filter is suspended and delay time is re-estimated. The estimated delay time and prior delay time are compared. If a compared result is over a setup value, the delay time is updated.
