PURPOSE: A method for automatically changing frequencies of a radio and TV channels in a car using a GPS(Global Positioning System) and a navigation system is provided to link regional information of the navigation system by GPS data with a database of radio frequencies and TV channels according to regions, so as to automatically change the frequencies or channels in boundaries of regions. CONSTITUTION: A radio system and a TV system of a car set up initial values of channel frequencies of the radio and channels of the TV according to regions, and turns the initial values into database.(S1) A navigation system receives coordinate data and time data of a GPS(Global Positioning System) satellite, to calculate a present position of the car and output regional information to the radio system and the TV system.(S2) The radio system and the TV system receive the regional information to decide whether the change of a region is detected.(S3) If the change of a region is detected, the radio system and the TV system search the set database, to search a database corresponding to a moved region.(S4) The radio system and the TV system compare a present receiving frequency and channel field intensity with a receiving frequency and channel field intensity of the moved region. If the present frequency and channel field intensity is larger, the S3 step is returned.(S5) If the receiving frequency and channel field intensity of the moved region is larger, the radio system and the TV system update the present receiving frequency and channel field intensity with the searched database.
