PURPOSE: An air conditioner is provided to allow an assembly work to be easily performed while reducing manufacturing cost and parts count. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner comprises a heat exchanger installed at an inner upper portion of a cabinet, a blower installed beneath the heat exchanger and which supplies air toward the heat exchanger, a fan housing(61) installed around the blower so as to allow an air blowing action to be performed smoothly through an air inlet opening and an air outlet opening of the cabinet, and a drain pan(63) formed integrally to the top portion of the fan housing so as to receive and drain outwardly the condensate water produced from the heat exchanger. The drain pan has an end provided with an extension portion(63a) extended to a rear surface of the cabinet, thus allowing the drain pan to be L-shaped. Thus-formed extension portion separates the cabinet into a lower space where the indoor air exists and an upper space where the heat-exchanged cold air produced from the heat exchanger exists, preventing the cold air from being mixed with the indoor air within the cabinet. The drain pan has at a front surface thereof a groove(63b) for accommodating a connection pipe. |
