PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling a screen of a picture-in-picture(PIP) television is provided to separately control screen characteristics such as brightness, sharpness, colors, contrast of a main screen and a sub screen, when a viewer watches the two screens in the PIP television. CONSTITUTION: A tuner(10) and a sub tuner(20) tune a specific broadcast under control of a micro computer(30). A picture-in-picture processor(60) synthesizes video signals inputted through the tuner(10) and the sub tuner(20), and outputs the synthesized video signals. A video processor(80) controls to output the video signals through a cathode ray tube(CRT)(90). A PIP controller(100) outputs a signal for locating a sub screen in a specific position on a CRT screen by a control signal of the micro computer(30). A PIP location controller(110) senses the signal from the PIP controller(100), and controls a location of the sub screen. An analog controller(120) inputs control data of a screen for being controlled. A control location switch(130) senses a screen location from the PIP location controller(110) and switches the sensed location into a main screen or the sub screen, then inputs screen control data in the video processor(80). |
